Which template format: Amicus Editor or Amicus Word?

For any particular template, you can choose whether to keep it in Amicus Editor or Amicus Word format. Each has its own advantages.

Create using the built-in, online Amicus Editor, or by uploading a HTM, HTML, or DOCX format document that was created in Word or an HTML editor. Or using the Amicus Editor, simply paste text into a new template.	Create using Word, and upload to Amicus in DOCX format.

Edit using the Amicus Editor. You don't need to download a copy to work on.	Edit in Word and then upload the edited version. For convenience, use an easily installed Office add-in. (If you don't have a copy of the template handy, you'll first need to download one from Amicus.) In Amicus you can edit only the template record details (such as subject and category), not the body.
Amicus Editor provides controls for adding variables and commands, and for highlighting them. The Editor includes functions for simple formatting.	Amicus Cloud Office Add-in provides controls for adding variables and commands, and for highlighting them. Word itself provides full formatting functions—for fine control over complex documents, Amicus Word templates are your best choice.
When generating a document from Amicus Editor or Word, you can easily edit the output on-the-fly, before printing it or saving it to Amicus as a document on a file.	If generating a document from Word, you can easily edit the output on-the-fly, before printing it or saving it to Amicus as a document on a file. If generating from Amicus Editor, you can preview the output before printing it or saving it as a document on a file, but cannot edit the output first.
Can generate the body of an email, which you can then edit further before sending.	Cannot generate email.
